THIS IS
OUR STORY

Hi, I'm Laura and I am delighted to welcome you to the online home of Irish Grazer Tours.

I have had a passion for my beautiful home country of Ireland and our incredibly rich tapestry of heritage and culture since I was a child. I have been farming for seventeen years so this life on the land that I have created with my family sparked the idea to create a business where I could share my love of and appreciation of Ireland, with others.

I offer walking tours of farms, towns and cities, with historical tours, literary tours and food tours to choose from with Irish Grazer Tours. We also offer bespoke educational tours to schools.

I am often asked where the name for Irish Grazer Tours came from. On our farm we breed a rare breed pig called The Tamworth or "Irish Grazer". These pigs were a very popular part of the first tour I offered on our farm so I though it only fitting to honour them.

I feel that my job is intrinsically linked to who I am. I love to gain knowledge and am constantly up-skilling. I have studied Tour Guiding, Tour Management and Business. Additionally I have completed a Forest School course and a course in the world renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School. I love nothing more than intuitively cooking with food sourced from my kitchen garden in my down time. The tour of Carlow Farmers Market that I offer is one of my favourites!

We are very excited about this, our new website. Please be patient with us; this online world is very new to us. If there is anything you are unsure of, please email me here

I am proud to have produced years of happy customers and I look forward to continuing to do so for many more to come. What are you waiting for? Book your tour HERE now!

GUEST REVIEWS
I recently took a tour with Laura of The Irish Grazer Tours around the Carlow Farmers Markets, and it was an incredible experience! Each vendor showcased their unique offerings, from artisanal cheeses that melted in my mouth to locally sourced meats that were bursting with flavor. I also enjoyed delicious crepes made by a very friendly and knowledgable lady. They were filled with fresh home grown ingredients. We sampled and bought a variety of homemade preserves that perfectly complemented the cheeses. They will make great gifts. The passion of the producers really shone through, making this tour a delightful way to explore local cuisine and support the community. I highly recommend Laura and her tour.

"My wife and I called to "The Good Farm" on our way back to Dublin. It was fascinating seeing the pigs digging and lying in their water baths. I was amazed at this this. We had a great laugh and chat as we walked about growing your own food and being sustainable as I am a real foodie. Laura and Duncan are both so knowledgable and you can hear their passion for the animals on the farm. We bought some sausages from them and barbecued them that evening at home. They were delicious. From start to finish we enjoyed our walk and talk. We had done other tours in and around Kilkenny that week but by far The Good Farm tour was the highlight of our week.

I call to The Good Farm every year when my grandchildren come to visit me in Kilkenny. We really enjoy the time walking and hearing about the pigs. The kids love looking at the pigs digging. I bring my four grandchildren with me and the youngest James, now wants to be a farmer! They look forward to the tour every year. They love the stories that Laura tells especially the one about the pig that let herself out of the paddock and ate all the strawberries! The whole experience is great for us every year.
